by Sherée Bergman Most of us have heard of the “Glass Ceiling”. Definition: an unofficially acknowledged barrier to advancement in a profession from rising beyond a certain level in a hierarchy. What about “Glass Walls”? I’m referring to our own “personal walls”. The walls that stop us from getting from point A to point B, from having that deep bonding relationship that we have always wanted, from achieving our dreams. The walls that stop us from true happiness. We all have them. Even if we have an idea what they are…we usually don’t know or understand why they are there. Lots of times these walls feel so normal to us that we don’t even realize they exist. Sometimes the manifestation of our walls look like depression, relational destruction, procrastination, failure, fear of failure, fear of success, avoidance, negativity, paralysis, anxiety, sabotage, anger, disease, loneliness, bitterness, just to name a few. These are not the reasons but the outcome. A few other signs of Glass Walls:
